BY PATRICIA SMITH
Sitting on a wooded lot in a small neighborhood, 2509 Wilderness Lane in Fayetteville is a craftsman-style home built with energy efficiency in mind.
Listed by Tami Fagan of Crye-Leike Realtors for $250,000, the new 1,973-square-foot home was built by Davidson Construction Company and has four bedrooms and three- and-a-half baths.
Open house is 2-4 p.m. today.
Energy-efficient features include an insulated foundation, reflective roof decking, low-E windows with argon gas, Energy Star appliances and cellulose insulation in the walls and attic.
A covered porch stretches across the front of the home, which features low-maintenance Hardie board siding and gables adorned with decora- tive cedar-shake shingles.
Inside, stained concrete floors flow from the front door into an open lay- out that combines the living, dining and kitchen areas. Along the front wall, a trio of windows bring in natural light and provide sunrise views. Crown molding runs around the space, which includes a wood-burning fireplace as a focal point on the main wall.
An angled island edged with a raised dining bar defines the kitchen, which is positioned in a corner of the multifunc- tional space. Notable features include 3-centimeter granite countertops, undercabinet lighting, a walk-in pantry, an undermount sink and a stainless steel appliance package with a five-burner gas range.
The master suite sits on the main level and includes a tray ceiling enhanced with crown molding, a huge walk-in closet with built-in shelves, a jetted tub, separate shower, double vanity and private access to the courtyard back patio.
To provide privacy for the master suite, the three other bed- rooms are located on the upper level, which is accessed by a staircase enhanced with a decorative railing. One of these bedrooms includes a private full bath with a linen closet. Additional amenities include a two-car attached garage and a utility room with a sink and cabinetry.
